GNR type generator neutral resistance cabinet, specifically designed for grounding the neutral of power plant generators through resistance. Widely used in 6~35KV AC power grids, it has stable performance, high temperature resistance, strong current carrying capacity, long working time, wide resistance range, and can also be equipped with current transformers to provide analog output for protection and monitoring systems. The GNR type resistance cabinet can operate in parallel with resistors or reactances, so it will expand with the increase of power grid scale
In the 6kV, 10kV, 20KV, 24KV, and 35kV power grids of the power system, the neutral point ungrounded operation mode is generally adopted. The low-voltage side of the main transformer in the power grid is generally connected in a triangular manner, without a neutral point that can be grounded. With the continuous expansion of urban power grids and the increasing number of cable outlets, the ground capacitance current of the system increases sharply. The capacitance current flowing through the fault point after single-phase grounding is relatively large (exceeding 10A). In order to reduce the capacitance current to ground during single-phase grounding faults, it is necessary to install compensation devices such as arc suppression coils at the neutral point of the transformer. Therefore, it is necessary to manually establish a neutral point to connect the arc suppression coil at the neutral point, reduce the short-circuit current to ground, and improve the reliability of the system power supply.
In addition, single-phase grounding is a common fault during the operation of the generator, and the occurrence of arc grounding at the fault point will further expand the insulation damage of the stator winding. The high resistance grounding of the generator neutral point can effectively suppress the grounding fault current of the generator, thereby preventing the burning of the generator stator winding and reducing the transient overvoltage caused by arc grounding. For this purpose, our company has developed a motor neutral point grounding resistance cabinet for single-phase grounding faults in motors. It mainly consists of a single-phase grounding transformer combined with a resistor, which can effectively avoid damage to the generator stator winding and insulation caused by grounding current.
